OSCI-GEN PROJECT
Development of generators for converting the energy of oscillations and vibrations in shipping, road and rail traffic into electrical energy
The company GEM MOTORS d.o.o., PE Celje, has successfully obtained co-financing for the project for the development of generators for the conversion of oscillation and vibration energy in shipping, road and rail traffic into electricity within the framework of the public tender for "Encouraging the implementation of research and development projects (TRL 3-6)", which is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
The main goal of the project is to develop a fundamentally new generator solution for producing electricity from the energy of waves, oscillations, accelerations or decelerations.
The main purpose of the project is to develop a generator solution of the Torus type and the Ekscenter type, both of which use the existing energy source, which is currently not used at all. The solution will be useful for various purposes, especially for shipping, and road and rail freight transport.
Within the project we will developbased on the starting points presented above, we will develop:
By TRL 6 level, we will develop a fundamentally new type of generator in which a magnetic sphere or cylinder moves freely in a hollow torus with an electrical winding, inducing a voltage in the winding.
By TRL 6 stage, we will develop a new version of the multiphase generator based on an eccentric mass rotating around an axis.
