The University of Novo mesto, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (UNM FME) offers multidisciplinary engineering studies with an emphasis on mechanical engineering content and educates first-level mechanical engineering graduates who are among the most sought-after professions in Slovenian industry.

UNM FME aims to provide its graduates with knowledge in the field of the latest technologies and systems in mechanical engineering and to prepare them in a high-quality manner for successful and efficient work in an industrial environment. In the teaching process, the Faculty strives to provide effective and high-quality transfer of knowledge, which enables the development of the ability to act independently and responsibly, the development of critical judgement, and accuracy and conscientiousness, without neglecting the promotion of creativity, innovation and a willingness to engage in lifelong learning.

At UNM FME we provide:

• studies at the first, second and third Bologna level in the field of technologies and systems in mechanical engineering with a diploma valid in all countries of the European Community without nostrification,
• full-time studies - FREE and part-time studies at the first level and part-time studies at the second and third levels,
• a non-massive study programme, which allows for individual attention to each student in order to increase the efficiency of the study programme,
• a practical study programme in which the student acquires knowledge in the field of technologies and systems in mechanical engineering with social science and economic-organisational content,
• the possibility to fulfill part of the study obligations at universities and schools all over the world,
• high-quality education that enables the employability of graduates, because all our graduates are employed.
